For nonprofits & institutions

Built for nonprofits, not just founders.

We built the digital home of the largest independent Latino civic and voter engagement program in the country. If you are a communications director with a board, a procurement process and a campaign date, this page is written for you rather than for a founder in a garage.

01

WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard we aim at

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the technical standard Section 508 points to, and it is what we build toward: designed in from the start, not added later as an upgrade.

02

Multi-language support

We build and ship in more than one language, and hand you a site your own team edits in every one of them.

03

Multi-state and multi-region

A national or regional body and its state chapters in one system — each with its own pages, none waiting on head office. Somos Votantes runs a national program and four state programs this way.

The proof, not the promise

Somos Votantes

Year-round Latino civic and voter engagement across Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and nationally. The whole experience ships in English and Spanish with a persistent language toggle, and donate flows with ActBlue presets, a Join Us pipeline and an embedded voter-registration checker are woven into the page structure rather than bolted on. The organization runs all of it with its own team between elections. In production since 2022.

Two WordPress migrations, both still running

If your current site is WordPress and you cannot change a comma without emailing a contractor, that is the problem we solved for Solay Counseling, a fifteen-year practice, and for Dr. Kamala — and once for ourselves; this site was a WordPress site too.

Accessibility — WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508

This is the standard our work aims at, and what you can ask us to build to. Here is what it covers, and what it does not.

What we build toward

  • A logical heading structure, one H1 per page
  • Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard
  • A visible focus indicator on every focusable element
  • 4.5:1 contrast on body text and on small labels
  • Alt text on every content image, empty alt on decoration
  • Properly labeled form fields, and error messages tied to the field
  • A skip link, and no keyboard traps
  • No colour used as the only way to convey meaning

How much of this list a given build carries depends on the project — ask for it up front and it goes in the scope.

What we do not claim

We are not a certified accessibility auditor and we do not issue conformance statements about our own work. If your funder or your board requires documentation, the right route is an independent certified audit, and we will point you to it.

We do not install accessibility overlay widgets. They do not work, and courts have not been kind to the organizations relying on them.

Building in more than one language

Who translates

Your own staff who speak the language — usually better, because they know how your organization talks — or a professional translator. Never machine translation: community-facing language is a trust asset, and a machine turns a call to action into something that reads like a terms-of-service page.

Who maintains it

Your team, from day one. Every language sits side by side in Webflow's editor, so whoever writes each one edits it directly and neither of them calls us.

Donor CRM, email and action integrations

We support a wide range of integrations. ActBlue is a good example — donation flows with preset amounts, shipped and running in production for Somos Votantes. Tell us what your team already runs on and we check it before we quote rather than finding out mid-project; we do not build CRMs, migrate donor databases, or clean your data.

Getting started

A five-page site starts at $3,700; keeping it running starts at $100 a month. Those are minimums, not quotes — your page count, languages and integrations set the real number, and it reaches you as one fixed price in writing before anything starts.

Send a few sentences

Your page count, your languages, your CRM, your deadline. Use the intake form on the contact page → or email contact@longsoftware.io. Both go to the same place, and you can forward the address to your executive director.

02

Same business day, a person replies

Not an autoresponder — either the questions we need answered to scope it, or a straight no with the name of someone better suited. Once we have talked it through you get a written proposal your board can read.
