The build
The gig economy hit the salon floor. The infrastructure didn't.
Independent stylists, barbers, nail techs and tattoo artists rent chairs on month-long leases while shops sit on empty booths. PUSH reframed salon space as an on-demand hourly marketplace: find a chair for your work, anywhere in the world.
Designed around hours, not addresses
The core search primitive is a time budget — "8 to 12 hours within the next 3 days" — layered on a rated map of available booths. That booking model shaped every screen, from search to one-tap Reserve at $3 an hour.
Two-sided trust, borrowed from the best
Category-scored reviews — value, cleanliness, management, communication — plus shop policies, in-app messaging with photo sharing, and post-job review flows make strangers comfortable sharing a workspace. Edge states like "location not serviced" were designed, not discovered in production.
One brand, every beauty vertical
Warm cream, charcoal and a coral-to-orange gradient stretch across barbering, nails, tattoo and waxing, with photo-forward cards and moody real-shop photography. The full product — app, marketing site, beta program — was completed; the client chose not to go to market. If your marketplace has to be launch-ready before the market says go, this is the discipline you're buying.
